Top Wine Selections Unveiled in 2026's Sommelier Awards
The World's Best Sommeliers' Selection 2026, led by Kristell Monot, has announced its top wine choices after a rigorous tasting process involving judges from 17 nations. Featuring 115 wines from 16 countries, this selection highlights the growing diversity and excellence in global wine production.
Italy led with 20 wines, with standout performances from Nebbiolo. Portugal closely followed with 18 wines, showcasing its prowess in fortified wines. The USA secured 17 spots, with strong showings from California and Texas. Spain highlighted its versatility with entries in red, sherry, and sparkling wine categories.
Argentina contributed 12 wines, emphasizing Malbec, while Uruguay and Chile also made notable contributions. France, Germany, Czech Republic, Georgia, and Greece rounded out the selection with impressive entries in various categories.
