Winter Exploration Drill Program at Last Hope Gold Project
55 North Mining Inc. has unveiled its 2026 winter drill program for the Last Hope Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada. The focus is on exploring potential mineralization extensions southeast of the existing resource. The company has mobilized a drill rig on-site to enhance their geological understanding.
CEO Bruce Reid emphasized the strategy of step-out drilling to validate potential extensions of known mineralization. These efforts aim to support an updated geological model and resource estimate expected later in 2026. The previous estimate was based on a $1,650/oz gold price, established in September 2021.
The upcoming catalysts include the release of drill results in approximately 4-6 weeks, contingent on lab turnaround. A revised mineral resource estimate is anticipated later in the year.
