ABO Energy Projects Profit Growth Despite Market Changes
ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA announced a net profit of 25.6 million euros in 2024, marking its second-best result, following the previous year's 27.3 million euros. The Managing Board forecasts a 2025 profit between 29 to 39 million euros and anticipates annual surpluses around 50 million euros from 2027 onward.
Revenues increased significantly to 446 million euros in 2024, driven by construction services. Germany's revenue contribution rose notably. Despite this growth, planning and project rights sales' revenue share fell. The expanded wind projects and the lifting of approval bottlenecks in Germany contributed positively.
Internationally, significant strides were made with solar farms in Hungary and Colombia, while South Africa saw sales of battery storage project rights. The company also continued developing its stalled projects due to approval hurdles in Germany.
