ABO Energy Secures Financing for German Substations

ABO Energy has secured a 45 million euro loan from the KfW's 'Climate Protection campaign for Companies' to finance the construction of eleven substations in Germany. The substations will link new wind, solar, and battery parks to the power grid. The project aims for completion by 2027. IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG led the loan syndication, with Frankfurt and Taunus Sparkasse also participating.

The investment reaches approximately 71 million euros. Previously, ABO Energy sold substations with connected parks to operators. Now, they plan to maintain ownership for strategic benefits and additional income. This expansion will strengthen liquidity and generate early cash flows, according to Managing Director Alexander Reinicke.
