Abrdn Life Sciences Investors (HQL) Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders
PHILADELPHIA, PA / ACCESSWIRE / June 26, 2024 / abrdn Life Sciences Investors ("HQL") disclosed today the outcomes of its Annual Meeting of Shareholders held on June 25, 2024. As of April 1, 2024, HQL had 27,350,517 outstanding shares of common stock, with 87.84% of these shares being voted, representing a quorum.
Shareholders approved the election of two Class B Trustees until the 2027 Annual Meeting. Stephen Bird received 20,269,963 votes (84.4%), while Jeffrey Bailey garnered 19,670,734 votes (81.9%). Votes against or withheld were 3,753,701 (15.6%) for Bird and 4,352,930 (18.1%) for Bailey.
Additionally, a shareholder proposal relating to the annual terms of trustees was opposed. The votes were 6,891,241 (41.6%) in favor, 9,133,348 (55.1%) against or withheld, with 533,327 (3.3%) abstentions.
