Advanced Blockchain AG's peaq Joins Mastercard Start Path Program
Advanced Blockchain AG announced that peaq, one of its portfolio companies, has been selected to join the Mastercard Start Path program. This global initiative focuses on supporting startups and high-growth companies within the blockchain and digital asset sectors. Start Path, which was founded in 2014, has aided over 400 companies by offering access to strategic partnerships and co-innovation opportunities.
Through the program, peaq plans to bridge the gap between Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs) and traditional finance (TradFi). This integration is expected to simplify transactions between decentralized networks and fiat currencies. Additionally, Mastercard’s extensive network will enable peaq to forge new partnerships, enhancing synergies between traditional finance and the digital Economy of Things. This collaboration aligns with peaq's efforts to facilitate mass adoption of DePIN technologies while reinforcing Web3 values and compliance.
Till Wendler, co-founder of peaq, emphasized the importance of seamless user experiences to encourage the adoption of DePIN and Web3 technologies. Sabrina Tharani, SVP of Global Fintech Programs at Mastercard, highlighted the firm’s commitment to support innovation in digital assets and blockchain through the Start Path program.
