Advanced Medical Balloons Unveils Promising HYDRA-PMCF Study Results for hygh-tec®

Advanced Medical Balloons GmbH released findings from the HYDRA-PMCF study regarding their hygh-tec® fecal management system. The study reveals impressive sealing performance, with 89.3% of patients experiencing no leakage. Furthermore, 94.2% displayed no signs of infection, indicating the system's safety. The study's results will be shared at the ABA Annual Meeting and WOCNext 2025.

Fecal incontinence poses significant challenges in intensive care, increasing complications and overburdening healthcare staff. Current systems face issues of leakage and safety within ICU settings. The hygh-tec® system is designed to mitigate these problems, promoting better patient care and reducing medical complications.

The study included 39 ICU patients and evaluated various safety and performance metrics. No serious adverse events were linked to the device. The full results of this promising study will be presented at major healthcare conferences in 2025, underscoring hygh-tec®'s potential to address urgent healthcare needs.
