AeroGuard selected by Air India for pilot training program
AeroGuard Flight Training Center, globally recognized for its professional ab initio pilot training, has been chosen by Air India to train student pilots for its Fly High Cadet Pilot program. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both entities, underlining their commitment to quality training and support for the booming aviation industry in India.
Under this partnership, AeroGuard will take care of training the next generation of Air India pilots. The program, specially designed for the occasion, will enable students to obtain FAA licenses ready for conversion by the Indian DGCA, thanks to a high-quality curriculum, experienced instructors, and extensive training facilities.
To meet this high demand, AeroGuard has expanded its capacities with the intention of training up to 2,000 student pilots across its three campuses in the United States. Recently, the company has ordered 90 aircraft from Piper Aircraft, bringing its fleet to a total of 100 aircraft, with plans to add 25 more planes in 2024. Currently, AeroGuard has over 200 instructors, with an additional 600 American students in training to become instructors.
Through this collaboration, AeroGuard and Air India are aligning with their mission to address the shortage of first officers and ensure a steady supply of qualified cadets for the flourishing aviation industry in India.
