Air Liquide invests 60 million euros in China with Wanhua Chemical

Air Liquide will invest nearly €60 million for an Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Yantai, China, under a long-term contract with Wanhua Chemical Group. Air Liquide will build a new liquid argon production unit for the industrial markets of Yantai and Shandong province.

This partnership will allow Air Liquide to supply industrial and medical gases to Yantai, strengthening its presence in a region where it already has several facilities, including four ASUs and a hydrogen production unit.

Ronnie Chalmers, Director Supervising Asia Pacific, highlighted that this contract leverages Air Liquide's technological and operational expertise. Liao Zengtai, President of Wanhua, added that this partnership will strengthen their long-term collaboration and development.
