Air Liquide Invests in Hydrogen Supply Chain for Low-Carbon Mobility
Air Liquide has announced a significant investment of 50 million euros to enhance the hydrogen supply chain, targeted at boosting low-carbon mobility along the Seine Axis in France. The initiative forms part of the company's strategy to develop its low-carbon hydrogen ecosystem in Normandy.
The new hydrogen packaging site will receive renewable hydrogen from Air Liquide's Normand’Hy electrolyzer, currently under construction with a capacity of 200 MW. This move aims to support the increase of hydrogen vehicles, including taxis and corporate fleets, in the region.
The majority of the electrolyzer's capacity will supply renewable hydrogen to the Normandy industrial basin, serving customers like TotalEnergies refinery. This project strengthens Air Liquide's role in the hydrogen value chain, supporting the transition to a low-carbon society.
