Algo Grande Discovers New Skarn Zone and Confirms Copper in Multiple Targets
Algo Grande Copper Corp. has announced a successful exploration update for its Adelita Project in Sonora, Mexico. The company completed its Phase I drill program at the Cerro Grande Skarn and conducted a property-wide surface prospecting campaign, collecting 49 rock samples, 19 of which had copper grades above 1%.
The campaign unveiled a new skarn zone at Potrero South, 3 km from Cerro Grande, with surface samples surpassing 3% copper. The program also confirmed mineralization across various targets, including Las Trancas and Cerro Grande Northwest, suggesting a comprehensive multi-deposit system.
The Phase I drill program aims to expand mineralization understanding within the Cerro Grande Skarn system, with assays anticipated soon. Identified skarn horizons have shown significant copper-gold-silver potential.
Future plans include incorporating the Potrero South target in Phase II and prioritizing exploration at Las Trancas, further cementing Adelita as a district-scale opportunity.
