Alstom Completes Sale of North American Conventional Signalling Business
Alstom has concluded the sale of its North American conventional signalling business to Knorr-Bremse AG for approximately USD 690 million. This transaction finalizes Alstom's €2 billion deleveraging plan.
Despite the sale, Alstom will continue to serve the North American signalling market with advanced solutions such as Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) and European Train Control Systems (ETCS).
The sale is part of Alstom’s plan to reinforce its balance sheet and stabilize its Investment Grade rating. Alstom remains a key player in U.S. mobility technology, with a history spanning over 170 years, and has delivered more than 12,000 vehicles to U.S. customers.
