Alstom has signed a contract with PKP Intercity to supply 42 Coradia Max trains and guarantee 30 years of maintenance. The contract is worth €1.6 billion, with an option for 30 additional trains. The trains will be manufactured in Poland, at Alstom's facilities in Chorzów and Nadarzyn.

The new trains, capable of reaching speeds of 200 km/h, aim to redefine comfort and reliability on Polish lines. They will offer modern amenities, including free Wi-Fi, family spaces, and accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility. Dual voltage will also allow operation in the Czech Republic.

Scheduled to be operational in three and a half years, the trains will bolster the transition to sustainable mobility. Alstom, already involved in the transformation of Polish transport with the Pendolino, is thus strengthening its collaboration with PKP Intercity.
