Alstom's Forecast for Q2 and H1 2024/25
Alstom announced its financial outlook for Q2 and H1 2024/25. Significant orders totaled approximately €5.1 billion for the quarter, including a €3.6 billion framework agreement in Germany and a high-capacity signalling project in Australia worth €650 million. Base orders, typically below €200 million, are expected to range from €1.5 billion to €2.0 billion per quarter.
For H1 2024/25, Alstom anticipates a negative impact on sales due to currency exchanges and a change in control of joint ventures. The company predicts a slight decline in its adjusted EBIT margin to align with previous figures, targeting an approximate 6.5% margin for the full fiscal year.
Free cash flow is projected between -€300 million and -€500 million for H1, with expectations of €300 million to €500 million for the full year, considering market demand and payment consistency. These forecasts are based on current plans and subject to market risks.
