AMAG Austria Metall AG Shows Resilience Amid Economic Challenges in Q3/2025
AMAG Austria Metall AG reported a stable earnings performance in the third quarter of 2025, citing its resilience amid a challenging economic environment. Revenues increased by 5.4% to EUR 1,137.0 million, driven by higher aluminium prices. However, EBITDA fell by 22.6% to EUR 114.2 million from the previous year, while net income after taxes dropped by 37.7% to EUR 33.8 million.
Operating cash flow grew by 23.3% to EUR 134.8 million. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Helmut Kaufmann credited strategic measures, including productivity increases and cost efficiency, for maintaining a stable performance. Despite a decrease in shipments, the company managed to reduce investments significantly, resulting in a 134% increase in free cash flow to EUR 94.2 million.
While economic conditions remain challenging, AMAG expects EBITDA to hit the upper end of its forecasted range for 2025. Looking ahead, the company remains focused on quality, flexibility and cost management to navigate market challenges.
