AMAG Technology Introduces Employee Badge for Apple Wallet in Symmetry Access Control System

AMAG Technology™, part of Allied Universal®, has unveiled a new feature that allows employees to securely and conveniently use their iPhone or Apple Watch as an access badge through Apple Wallet. This innovation, aimed at enhancing the Symmetry Access Control system, promises to streamline access to offices and amenities with a simple tap.

Roland Fournier, Vice President of Product Management at AMAG Technology, emphasized the ease, security, and private nature of using Apple devices for office access. The addition of the employee badge to Apple Wallet eliminates the need for physical badges or even opening an app, further simplifying entry processes.

The integration with AMAG Technology's Symmetry Wallet platform permits seamless addition of employee badges to Apple Wallet. Users receive an authentication link via email, simplifying the provisioning process. This advancement also offers benefits for security administrators by reducing the reliance on physical badges, thereby saving time and resources.

AMAG Technology assures that the dual support for mobile and physical credentials in the Symmetry Access Control and Symmetry Blue readers facilitates a smooth transition towards mobile credentials while prioritizing privacy and security, as the usage data is not shared with Apple or stored on its servers.
