Amprion Aligns Future Leadership with New Management Team
On 1 July 2024, transmission system operator Amprion GmbH announced a strategic restructuring of its management team. Dr Christoph Müller will join the Management Board as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and later transition to the role of CEO on 1 January 2025, succeeding Dr Hans-Jürgen Brick. The Supervisory Board has also extended CFO Peter Rüth’s contract by five years, ensuring continuity in the Finance division.
The appointment was confirmed at a Supervisory Board meeting on 18 June 2024. Müller will immediately oversee strategy, corporate development, and grid management. Under Dr Hans-Jürgen Brick’s leadership, an orderly transition until the end of 2024 is ensured.
Uwe Tigges, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, highlighted the company's strong future positioning. Müller, previously CEO of Netze BW, brings extensive energy industry experience. CFO Rüth expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and looks forward to collaboration with the management team.
Dr Hendrik Neumann continues as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), maintaining his role within the management team.
