SBTi Endorses ANDRITZ's Climate Goals

On June 19, 2025, ANDRITZ AG, an international technology group, announced that its climate targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This approval marks a significant achievement for ANDRITZ in aligning its decarbonization efforts with the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the latest climate science.

ANDRITZ aims to reduce its absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, using 2023 as the baseline. Additionally, the company targets a 25% reduction in scope 3 emissions, linked to the lifetime operation of its machinery. These targets have been confirmed by SBTi as aligning with the 1.5°C pathway, the most stringent standard recognized. This validation reinforces ANDRITZ’s commitment to industrial decarbonization.

ANDRITZ CEO Joachim Schönbeck expressed satisfaction with the SBTi’s endorsement, emphasizing the company's role in supporting the green transition through innovative solutions and reduced emissions.
