ANDRITZ AG records record results for 2023

ANDRITZ AG, an international technology group, announced that it achieved its best results in its history in 2023, marking the second consecutive year of records in terms of revenue, net profit and EBITA. Revenues climbed to €8.7 billion, up 15% from 2022, while net profit rose 25% to €504 million. EBITA also grew by 14%, amounting to 742 million euros.

The group reported a 12% increase in orders received in the fourth quarter compared to the previous year, although total orders for the year fell by 8% due to a reduction in investment in the sector. paper pulp. ANDRITZ, however, noted a substantial increase in orders in the hydropower sector, taking advantage of a favorable market.

In 2023, ANDRITZ notably won its first major order for a green hydrogen plant as well as for a fully automated cell forming facility for the production of battery cells for e-mobility. This year also saw significant orders for pumped storage projects in Austria and Greece.

ANDRITZ CEO Joachim Schönbeck highlighted the importance of providing economically viable solutions to support the decarbonization of industries, a strategy that has contributed to the company's growth. For 2024, ANDRITZ anticipates a slight increase in its revenues and profits.
