ANDRITZ Continues Stable Development in First Half of 2024

Graz, July 25, 2024. International technology group ANDRITZ reported a stable business performance amid challenging economic conditions in the first half of 2024.

Revenue dipped slightly compared to the same period in the previous year, while profitability saw a small increase and net income remained constant. However, order intake fell sharply due to the lack of major investments in the pulp & paper and metals sectors. Service and green product orders saw growth.

The Environment & Energy segment experienced significant revenue and order intake growth. A major order for lignin recovery from Sweden’s Södra Group highlights the company's focus on renewable resources. Finnish Metsä Group placed innovative orders for carbon capture integration and cellulosic fiber production studies.

In June 2024, ANDRITZ acquired Procemex, enhancing its digitalization capabilities in the pulp and paper industry. CEO Joachim Schönbeck expressed satisfaction with maintaining stable net income and increasing profitability despite economic challenges.

ANDRITZ's outlook for 2024 remains stable, with strong demand for green products and services. Selective capacity adjustments are underway to address declining order intake.
