Approval Secured for Major Lisbon Real Estate Project

VIC Properties, a leading Portuguese real estate developer, has received approval for the regeneration of the former Matinha Gas Factory in Lisbon. This project is set to become one of Portugal’s largest residential-led mixed-use developments. Situated on the city’s riverfront, the project spans 30 hectares and includes 2,000 new homes, 120,000 sqm of green spaces, and 65,000 sqm of commercial and office areas. It's anticipated to create over 3,000 direct jobs.

First acquired in 2019 by VIC Properties, the project will rejuvenate an abandoned site, promoting sustainable development with a focus on accessibility and eco-friendliness. The revitalization supports VIC Properties' ongoing efforts in urban regeneration, highlighted by the Prata Riverside Village, due for completion in 2026.
