APsystems Surpasses Safety Standards with APstorage 261L

APsystems has achieved a crucial safety milestone for its commercial and industrial energy storage solutions. The APstorage 261L liquid-cooled cabinet passed the rigorous UL 9540A fire propagation test under the observation of TÜV Rheinland. This test, known for its strictness, evaluates thermal runaway behavior and the system's response to fire hazards. Impressively, the APstorage 261L contained thermal runaway within a single cabinet with no propagation to adjacent units.

Test results show the cabinet's robust safety features. Operating at full charge with the fire suppression system off, the unit displayed no signs of short circuit or explosion, maintaining structural integrity. Significant metrics include a heat flux of 0 kW/m² and a maximum module surface temperature of 83.9°C, both indicating minimal risk of fire spread.

Designed with a four-level fire-protection system, active ventilation, and passive pressure relief mechanisms, the APstorage 261L ensures high safety standards. Compact and versatile, it suits European industrial and commercial projects, offering quick deployment and expansion options.
