Arnaud Lagardère Resumes Duties as Group Chairman and CEO
The Board of Directors of Lagardère SA has reappointed Arnaud Lagardère as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. This decision was made on the proposal of Jean-Christophe Thiery, who filled the role provisionally since April 30.
The reappointment follows the partial lifting of a management activities ban on Arnaud Lagardère, imposed on April 29, 2024, pending appeal. The Board also plans to appoint him as Chairman and CEO of Hachette Livre.
The Board acknowledged Lagardère's resumption of his duties as President of Lagardère Commandité SAS and Managing Partner of Lagardère Radio SCA, temporarily overseen by Constance Benqué.
Arnaud Lagardère expressed gratitude toward Jean-Christophe Thiery and the Board, particularly praising the Bolloré family's support. He emphasized his commitment to leading the Group's talented teams toward future success.
