Ascendant Submits Final Environmental Impact Assessment for Lagoa Salgada Project

Ascendant Resources Inc. has submitted the final stage of its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Lagoa Salgada project to Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente (APA). The submission follows APA's request for additional information, which has been met by Ascendant's technical team.

The 60-day RECAPE review phase will verify compliance with the Environmental Impact Declaration criteria. Upon approval, the project will receive its environmental title. The EIA process will then proceed to the public consultation stage and APA's Evaluation Committee review.

The project will subsequently enter the RECAPE phase, ensuring execution compliance with established criteria. This phase is expected to conclude in Q4 2024. During this period, some minor works may commence, with full construction beginning upon final approval.
