ASMALLWORLD Announces Record Sales and Net Income for H1 2024
ASMALLWORLD AG has reported record-breaking sales and an increase in net income for the first half of 2024. Sales reached CHF 11.7 million, attributed to strong demand for premium memberships and travel services. Net income rose by 2% to CHF 0.6 million, and EBITDA hit CHF 0.9 million, which is 90% of the full-year guidance.
The company also reduced its debt by CHF 1 million, strengthening its balance sheet and reducing interest costs. The member base grew by 6%, reaching 71,600. CEO Jan Luescher highlighted the company's ability to grow even while investing in long-term development.
Upcoming changes include a new membership model with a free tier to increase accessibility and a brand refinement focused on luxury travel. These changes are expected to further expand the membership base and enhance demand for the company's services.
ASMALLWORLD has also seen growth in its travel services, with a 29% increase in bookings and the addition of 120 new hotels to its offering. The company aims to scale its travel services with new systems and a rebranded travel curation service.
Overall, ASMALLWORLD has significantly reduced its debt by 65% over the last 18 months and maintains its full-year guidance, expecting sales between CHF 23 and 25 million and an EBITDA between CHF 1.0 and 1.2 million.
