Aston Bay and American West Metals Announce New Copper Targets at the Storm Copper Project, Canada

Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. and its project operator, American West Metals Limited, unveiled preliminary geophysical results from their operations at the Storm Copper Project on Somerset Island, Nunavut. The recent Moving Loop Electromagnetic (MLEM) surveys have identified multiple new exploration targets across the project area, suggesting a continuation and potential expansion of high-grade copper mineralization.

The MLEM survey, designed for shallow subsurface detection (less than 200 meters deep), has revealed new electromagnetic anomalies indicative of high-grade copper. These findings extend from historical zones, including the Cyclone and Chinook zones, and span newly identified regions like the Thunder, Lightning Ridge, and Gap Prospects. The ongoing explorations stand poised to test these targets using both reverse-circulation and diamond drill rigs.

Copper mineralization at the Storm Project primarily consists of chalcocite with higher copper content, distinguished sharply from its dolomite host rocks through electromagnetic methods. The ongoing and upcoming survey data will guide further drilling operations intended to delineate these mineralized zones accurately. Aston Bay CEO, Thomas Ullrich, mentioned the significance of these EM anomalies in discovering and prioritizing high-grade copper deposits.
