Aston Bay and American West Metals Identify Significant Copper Targets at Depth in the Storm Project, Nunavut, Canada
Diamond drilling at the Storm Copper Project in Nunavut is showing promising results as Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. and American West Metals Ltd. report new zones of copper at depth. The latest deep search EM survey identifies a notable 1,300m x 500m anomaly for drill testing.
The deep diamond drilling continues to meet with success, revealing thick intervals of visual copper mineralization beneath known near-surface copper deposits. This supports the potential for the Storm project to host large-scale, high-grade copper deposits similar to those in the Central African Copperbelt.
Drill hole ST24-01 intersected 21.3 meters of visual copper mineralization, including several notable intervals, while drill hole ST24-02 revealed 99.2 meters of visual copper sulfide. These findings highlight the expansive nature of the deep copper system, now covering more than 10 square kilometers.
The Moving Loop Electromagnetic (MLEM) survey has defined a significant anomaly at depth, with ongoing target drilling aimed at further investigation. However, it's emphasized that visual estimates should not replace laboratory analyses for determining mineralization grades.
