ATHA Energy Unveils High-Grade Uranium Discoveries at Angilak Project
ATHA Energy Corp has identified significant high-grade uranium mineralization at its Angilak Uranium Project in Nunavut, Canada, as part of its 2024 exploration program. The surficial mapping focused on areas near the Lac 50 Deposit, uncovering outcrops with radioactivity exceeding 60,000 counts per second across a 3-kilometer strike length. These findings, located beyond the established exploration target model, indicate potential for further discoveries and reduce risks for future drilling efforts.
The exploration also suggests strong metal endowment throughout the Angilak Project, with notable uranium showings outside Lac 50, such as the Dipole and Nine Iron showings. A technical report estimated an exploration target for the Lac 50 Deposit ranging from 60.8M lbs to 98.2M lbs U3O8, based on drill results from Lac 48, 50, 52, and 54 trends. The promising outcomes of the 2024 program have led ATHA to expand its land holdings in the Angikuni Basin by 69,704 hectares, now completely controlling the area.
