Aton’s Semna Project Yields High-Grade Gold Intersections
Aton Resources Inc. has reported promising results from its phase 3 RC drilling programme at the Semna gold mine project in Egypt's Eastern Desert. The programme, which comprised 44 drilled holes totaling 5,257 meters, revealed significant mineralisation. Key findings include 14.33 g/t Au over a 9m interval and 10.74 g/t Au over a 6m interval. Aton CEO, Tonno Vahk, acknowledged these results as confirmation of high-grade veins at Semna.
The reverse circulation percussion drilling highlighted intersections of coarse gold, evidencing gold grades of 46.50 g/t over a 1m section. Previous exploration phases and subsequent tests have shown gold recoveries surpassing 97 percent using conventional and concentration-leach processing methods.
Aton plans to resume RC and diamond drilling at Semna within two months. Meanwhile, the focus is temporarily shifted to other priority areas within the Abu Marawat Concession.
