Banff Sunshine Village Unveils Super Angel LX Chairlift
November 16, 2024, marks a milestone for Banff Sunshine Village with the launch of the Super Angel LX chairlift. This high-speed, heated, six-passenger lift is the first of its kind in North America, featuring the latest Leitner-Poma EVO technology. It replaces the historic four-passenger Angel Express, enhancing comfort with heated seats and individual footrests.
The new lift, designed for efficiency, transports skiers and snowboarders up 1,244 feet in just over five minutes. With a capacity of 2,400 passengers per hour, the Super Angel LX reduces wait times significantly, offering guests more time to explore the 3,358 acres of skiable terrain.
Banff Sunshine Village, known for its diverse terrain and natural snow, aims to improve the guest experience through this upgrade, aligning with the resort's commitment to safety, service, and continuous improvement.
