Barton Gold Completes 10,000m Drilling Program at Tarcoola
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced the completion of a major drilling program at its Tarcoola Gold Project in South Australia. The program included approximately 9,000 meters of reverse circulation drilling focused on regional targets, and an additional 900 meters near the Perseverance open pit mine. This follows their recent JORC Mineral Resource Estimate confirming around 20,000 ounces of gold.
The company drilled over 9,052 meters across 44 days, targeting shallow mineralization with the potential to expand the open pit resource. Barton Gold's Managing Director, Alexander Scanlon, highlighted the program's significance in testing new structural targets identified last year. The goal is to convert further shallow mineralization into an expanded resource, leveraging their existing, fully permitted mill.
Regional drilling targeted structural zones on Mining Lease 6455 and Exploration License 6210, including Tolmer, Mulgathing, and Warburton. These efforts aim to support Barton's low-cost development and operational strategies in the Tarcoola region.
