Barton Gold Initiates Scoping Study for Underground Mine Project
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has launched a Scoping Study for its Challenger Gold Project in South Australia. This follows a Resource Estimate increase, doubling to 230,000 ounces at 3.65 g/t Au. The underground mine, which produced over 1 million ounces from 2002 to 2018, benefits from existing infrastructure.
The study will assess the feasibility of supplying high-grade Resources to the Central Gawler Mill, which is fully permitted and suitable for refurbishment. SRK Consulting has been appointed to lead the study, building on its previous involvement in the project.
Barton aims to enhance the Resource's value by utilizing stable underground access and Central Gawler Mill infrastructure, potentially converting more high-value mineralisation through future drilling.
