BayWa AG Reports Extraordinary Depreciation of €222.2 Million Following Impairment Tests
BayWa AG has announced extraordinary depreciation amounting to €222.2 million, as revealed in their Half-Year Financial Statements 2024. This write-down follows mandatory impairment tests conducted in accordance with IAS 36.
The largest part of this depreciation, totalling €171.5 million, is attributed to BayWa r.e. AG, a 51% subsidiary of BayWa AG. Despite these impairments, the ongoing restructuring efforts and the execution of the restructuring plan currently being formulated will not be negatively affected.
