Berentzen Group's 2024 Financial Year: Positive EBIT Gains Despite Revenue Dip

Berentzen-Gruppe Aktiengesellschaft released preliminary, unaudited results showing an increase in consolidated operating profit (EBIT) by 37% to EUR 10.6 million, despite a slight decline in revenue to EUR 181.9 million compared to EUR 185.7 million in the previous year. This profit growth reflects a significant improvement in gross profit, even as sales volumes declined.

The group's revenue decrease is attributed to reduced sales volumes, market challenges such as consumer concerns over inflation, and conflicts with retail partners affecting promotions. Additionally, the sale of the Grüneberg site impacted revenue. However, Berentzen's strategic initiatives, including the sale of its non-alcoholic production site, align with its 2028 corporate strategy goals, indicating positive profit impacts in the medium term.

Berentzen aims to further improve profitability and expand sales structures in 2025, targeting increased marketing and communication budgets.
