Bitterroot Resources Expands Control Over LM Nickel-Copper Project
Bitterroot Resources Ltd. (TSXV:BTT) has strengthened its position in Michigan's Upper Peninsula by securing ownership of the surface estate at the LM nickel-copper property through its subsidiary, Trans Superior Resources, Inc. This strategic acquisition, worth US$170,000, enhances the company's prospects for mineral exploration and development while providing access to valuable hardwood timber resources. The purchase has been made in collaboration with several investors, aligning interests with Bitterroot's minority joint venture partner, Below Exploration Inc.
Trans Superior now holds a 20% stake in Ravine River Properties LLC, with the remainder owned by Michigan-based investors. A newly acquired three-year access permit from a local timber company will streamline drill access. Concurrently, Perseverance Metals Inc. and Talon Metals Corp. have resumed drilling in the vicinity, potentially offering additional developmental insights.
The LM Project is located within the Baraga Basin, home to the Talon Eagle Mine, and shows potential for significant nickel-copper deposits. Historical drilling has identified promising mineralization, and further evaluation is planned, dependent on funding. CEO Michael Carr highlights the operational advantages gained through the low-cost acquisition and future partnerships in drilling activities.
