Black Iron Appoints David Porter as Chairman of the Board

Black Iron Inc. has announced the appointment of David Porter as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors. Porter, who has been a director since 2010, brings over 33 years of experience in the mining and steel sectors. His career includes significant roles such as Vice President at Rio Tinto/Mitsubishi's Iron Ore Company of Canada.

Porter succeeds Bruce Humphrey, who resigned after 15 years of service. CEO Matt Simpson expressed gratitude for Humphrey's leadership during challenging times, including geopolitical disruptions in Ukraine. Simpson emphasized Porter's critical industry experience as an asset for the company's future.

Black Iron continues to focus on its Shymanivske Iron Ore Project in Ukraine, navigating uncertainties such as the ongoing war.
