BlackBerry AtHoc Nears FedRAMP High Authorization
BlackBerry Limited has announced that its critical event management solution, BlackBerry AtHoc, is currently "In Process" for obtaining FedRAMP High Authorization from the Joint Authorization Board. If approved, this would mark BlackBerry AtHoc as the first solution of its kind to achieve this level of authorization, highlighting its capabilities in managing critical communications for U.S. federal agencies.
BlackBerry AtHoc is already trusted by 75% of U.S. federal agencies for crisis communication and incident response. It offers features such as dynamic operational management and enhanced geofencing, designed to enhance security and operational efficiency. The FedRAMP High status will certify its ability to protect sensitive, unclassified government data.
This milestone underlines BlackBerry's commitment to delivering secure communication solutions. It aligns with current trends emphasizing cybersecurity compliance following federal directives. Current users with FedRAMP Moderate authorization will be eligible to upgrade once BlackBerry achieves final authorization.
