BlackRock and Morgan Stanley Achieve FDC3 2.0 Conformance Certification
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESSWIRE / September 30, 2024 / The Fintech Open Source Foundation (FINOS) announced at the Open Source in Finance Forum New York that BlackRock's Aladdin platform and Morgan Stanley's Open Source ComposeUI have achieved FDC3 2.0 Conformance. This positions them among a growing list of FINOS FDC3 Certified Platforms.
FINOS showcased statements from financial data and analytics vendors like London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and S&P Global Market Intelligence, which are implementing the FDC3 protocol. More than 30 firms and thousands of internal applications now use this open standard.
FDC3, hosted by FINOS since 2018, was created to address desktop application interoperability in financial services. "FDC3 has gained significant momentum," said Madeleine Dassule, Partner at Wellington Management and Chair of the FINOS Governing Board. Gabriele Columbro, Executive Director of FINOS, emphasized the milestone's importance in breaking industry silos.
BlackRock and Morgan Stanley highlighted the practical benefits of the certification. BlackRock's Lance Braunstein stated that the FDC3 standard ensures seamless interoperability in Aladdin applications. Morgan Stanley's Brian Ingenito noted that FDC3 2.0 Conformance is crucial for integrating diverse applications across their platform.
