BluSky Carbon Expands with Joint Venture in Namibia

BluSky Carbon Inc. has announced a joint venture agreement with Ikigai Carbon Corporation to launch biochar projects in Namibia. This partnership is structured as a 50/50 joint venture focusing on biochar technology deployment, leveraging BluSky's biomass Vulcan pyrolysis technology for biomass carbon removal.

The collaboration aims to unlock the potential for job creation and socio-economic benefits in Namibia, with Ikigai managing local relationships. BluSky will provide the technology and help secure project financing. By establishing Namibian entities and partnerships, both companies will contribute to the local economy and infrastructure development.

Ikigai Carbon brings expertise in transforming waste into valuable resources, with ties to Namibia-based Omiti Biochar. The initiative aims to create high-quality Biodiversity Carbon Removal Credits. BluSky CEO, Will Hessert, emphasizes the project’s potential for economic growth through biochar production.
