Bobby J's Yamaha of Albuquerque Heir Keith Johnson Expands New Mexico Footprint With Santa Fe Motor Sports Acquisition

Keith Johnson, owner of the oldest Yamaha dealer in the U.S., has expanded his market reach with the acquisition of Santa Fe Motor Sports. This transaction was facilitated by Powersports Listings M&A.

The acquisition, finalized on June 23, 2024, marks a significant milestone for Johnson and his wife, Jennifer. They are the current owners of Bobby J's Yamaha of Albuquerque, a dealership established in 1956. The deal was managed by Powersports Listings M&A's top executives, including CEO Tom Macatee and CIO David Clay.

Santa Fe Motor Sports, founded in 1995 by Sidney Mace and Nancy Blake, is a key player in the local market for powersports vehicles and products. The dealership operates in a modern 13,000 sq. ft. facility built in 2005. It carries well-known brands such as Polaris, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki, making it a strategic fit for Johnson's legacy in the industry.

The Johnson family aims to maintain the high standards of service and product quality established by Mace and Blake. As new owners, they are committed to continuing the dealership's success and legacy.
