BOOSTHEAT reveals significant advances in heat pump technologies

The company BOOSTHEAT, based in Vénissieux, has announced promising results for its new hybrid compressor for heat pumps. This innovative compressor, using CO2 as a refrigerant, allows the combined use of thermal and electrical energy, offering increased energy flexibility for the production of hot or cold. Trials showed a notable improvement of more than 50% in compression capacity compared to the first generation, with significant implications for costs and energy efficiency.

The compressor can reach up to 50 kW of thermal power, and up to 250 kW with cascade configurations. These characteristics make the product a potentially revolutionary solution for the industrial market, especially in the areas of biogas and biomethane production. The hybrid model has also attracted the interest of multinationals in the HVAC sector, opening up extensive market prospects for the company.

According to BOOSTHEAT Operations Director, Emilien Benhard, these results are not only a validation of the patented hybrid technology but also an important step towards energy optimization for industrial applications. This innovation could lead to more flexible and competitive solutions in the near future.
