Borussia Dortmund Announces Executive Leadership Changes and Contract Extensions

Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA has made significant announcements regarding the extensions of managing director contracts and a key appointment in their executive team. The Executive Committee of the Advisory Board, chaired by Dr. Reinhold Lunow, confirmed these strategic decisions aimed at strengthening their management structure.

Thomas Treß, the company's Chief Financial Officer, had his contract extended prematurely from its original expiry in June 2025 to June 2027. He will continue overseeing the "Finance, Organisation and Legal & Investor Relations" departments. Similarly, Carsten Cramer's contract, responsible for the "Sales & Marketing, Internationalization and Digitalization" divisions, was also extended to June 2027.

In addition to these extensions, Lars Ricken has been appointed as a new managing director for the "Sport" division, effective from May 1, 2024. Ricken's contract will also run until June 2027, and he will have joint power of representation for the company.
