Branicks Group AG Sells Former Horten-Kaufhaus in Bremen City Center

Branicks Group AG has executed the sale of the former Horten-Kaufhaus, a retail property located in Bremen's city center. The transaction was finalized as an asset deal with BRESTADT GmbH, Bremen’s urban development entity, for EUR 37.2 million. The closure is anticipated by year-end. This move aligns with Branicks' strategy to optimize its Commercial Portfolio, approaching its sales target of EUR 500-600 million, having already surpassed EUR 450 million.

The property, initially acquired in 2011 and known as the Horten-Kaufhaus, was predominantly used by Galeria Kaufhof before its 2020 closure. It subsequently housed a furniture store operated by Opti-Wohnwelt. The sale aids Branicks in financial consolidation and emphasizes its strategic focus on logistics, office, and renewables sectors.
