Broadpeak, Deutsche Telekom and Microsoft Azure team up to power mobile video streaming

Broadpeak announced a collaboration with Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier and Microsoft Azure on February 26, 2024, aimed at improving the video streaming experience on mobile devices. This alliance allows Broadpeak to enrich its BkS450 video streaming software with quality of service on demand (QoD) network API capabilities, to stabilize video streaming for mobile users. The successful tests on Telekom's Cloud Edge platform in Berlin mark an important step towards higher quality of service.

Guillaume Bichot, from Broadpeak, highlights the importance of maintaining high streaming quality in the event of bandwidth fluctuations. The combined solution of Broadpeak, Microsoft Azure Programmable Connectivity (APC) and Deutsche Telekom's network APIs has proven effective in improving user experience in challenging network conditions. This initiative promises more stable and higher quality streaming, even in demanding network situations.

This collaboration also aims to enhance operators' video distribution networks by improving network capabilities and promoting monetization. The excellent test results demonstrate the potential of these technologies to deliver high-quality, interruption-free streaming, contrasting sharply with the poor quality experiences encountered during network overload.

The solution will be demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2024, highlighting the role of this collaboration in improving the mobile video streaming experience on a global scale.
