BTU Metals Commences Drill Program at Echum Project in Ontario

BTU Metals Corp has announced plans for winter diamond drilling at its Echum project, located near Alamos Gold's Island Gold Mine in northern Ontario. This initiative is supported by the Ontario Junior Exploration Program, providing up to CAD$200,000 in funding for 2024-2025 activities. The company highlights the potential of host rocks extending from the neighboring Alamos property.

The Echum project is part of BTU's larger Wawa Projects, which include Hubcap and Centennial. Recent exploration at Hubcap revealed up to 17.1 g/t gold nearby, with further assay results pending. The company's activities focus on leveraging local data to refine exploration targets.

BTU holds over 750 mining claims across 16,048 hectares in the area, supported by extensive local infrastructure. Work on Hubcap and Centennial involves surface sampling and upcoming IP surveys in spring 2025, aiming to systematically explore these large, historically gold-rich areas.
