BTU Metals Corp. Begins Exploration in Wawa Gold District

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / July 31, 2024 / BTU Metals Corp. (TSX-V:BTU)(OTCQB:BTUMF) has initiated exploration on its gold properties in the Wawa gold area of northern Ontario. The projects are situated near Alamos Gold's Island Gold District Project and Red Pine Exploration's Wawa Gold Project. These properties have historic gold mineralization but have seen limited exploration in recent years.

The Echum property, in northern Wawa, extends the geological trend of Alamos's Island Gold Mine. The Hubcap and Centennial projects, located in southern Wawa, extend geological trends near Red Pine's operations. The exploration will include line cutting, geophysics, prospecting, trenching, and sampling to prepare for a potential drilling program. The Wawa projects cover over 750 mining claims across 16,048 hectares.

BTU CEO Paul Wood expressed excitement about the exploration plans, noting the potential for significant gold discoveries and the excellent location. BTU is financially prepared to proceed with the exploration through late 2024.
