Buc-ee’s to Debut New Travel Center in Smiths Grove, KY on June 24
Buc-ee's will open its latest travel center in Smiths Grove, KY, on June 24, 2024. The center will open at 6 a.m. CDT, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:00 p.m. CDT. This will mark the second Buc-ee's location in Kentucky, following the opening of its Richmond branch in April 2022.
Located at 4001 Smiths Grove-Scottsville Road, the new facility will cover 53,000 square feet and feature 120 fueling positions. Visitors can expect Buc-ee's offerings such as Texas barbeque, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, and fresh pastries, along with award-winning restrooms, affordable fuel, and excellent service.
The ribbon-cutting event will host notable figures including Rocky Adkins, Senior Advisor to Governor Andy Beshear, U.S. Senator Rand Paul, and local leaders. The Smiths Grove facility will provide at least 200 jobs, with benefits exceeding industry standards.
With the new opening, Buc-ee's will operate 50 stores across Texas and the South. The company began its multi-state expansion in 2019 with locations now in several southern states. Virginia and Mississippi locations are also in development. Stan Beard of Buc-ee's expressed excitement over the new location and its community reception.
