Camino Minerals Launches Drilling at Los Chapitos Copper Project in Peru
Camino Minerals Corporation has mobilized drilling equipment for its Los Chapitos copper project in Peru. Collaborating with Nittetsu Mining Co., the 2025 campaign aims to discover new copper-silver deposits at sites like Mirador, Piloto, Maqui, and Sombrero Blanco, alongside extending existing zones such as Adriana and Lourdes. Recent trenching showed promising results, including Mirador's 129m @0.98% Cu and 20.59 ppm Ag. Drilling is set to start in November 2025.
Los Chapitos has been designated by Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines as a priority exploration project. This follows intensive field research and notable copper-silver findings. Camino plans approximately nine initial drill holes, with expectations to expand with further investment. The project benefits from strategic location advantages, including infrastructure and coastal proximity.
The ongoing initiative seeks to progress national mineral exploration under the Perú Explora initiative, aiming to attract new exploration investments and strengthen Peru's project portfolio.
