Camino Minerals Launches Exploration at Los Chapitos Copper Project
Camino Minerals Corporation has announced the start of its exploration campaign at the Los Chapitos Copper Project in Peru. The project is funded by a CAD$1.5 million investment from its partner, Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd. The campaign aims to explore copper formations along the 12km La Estancia fault.
The focus of the drilling is on copper oxide and potential sulfide mineralization. A total of 11 drill holes covering 1,200 meters are planned. Initial geochemical sampling indicates promising copper oxide grades reaching up to 3.8% Cu and silver grades of 4.0 ppm.
The campaign's goal is to uncover significant copper oxide at the surface and search for deeper copper sulfide extensions. The company's strategic activities also involve the issuance of shares and stock options related to the project's financing and exploration agreement.
