Camino Minerals Identifies New Copper Zones at Los Chapitos Project
Camino Minerals Corporation has announced significant progress in their Summer 2024 mapping and exploration campaign at the Los Chapitos copper project in Peru. The campaign, conducted in collaboration with Nittetsu Mining, has resulted in the identification of new copper oxide areas along the La Estancia fault, which stretches over 12 km through Camino's claims.
Five new exploration targets were identified, including Pampero and Sombrero Blanco, where notable mineralization was found. Pampero showed copper grades up to 3.8%, while Pilar Maria displayed copper oxide grades up to 7.3%. Drilling at prioritized targets is set to start as soon as December 2024. The new targets have been likened to the manto-type copper deposits of northern Chile, offering potential for significant copper and silver discoveries.
